The photo shows one of our products ,for now we shall focus on the beans , variety being sugar because this is one the easiest beans to cook because they take less time to be consumed compared to Nua 45 beans and Pinto.
At the field they take 110-130 days to reach maturity ,which makes them to be the last ones to be harvested, threshed and winnowed.
On the 25 February 2023 ,we hosted a training which was based on poultry called free range chicken and Broilers training.
This was a technical training in collaboration with Factor farmers ,which is the private sector offering thier expertise in animal. The training equipped farmers with the skills and knowledge that are very significant from the day they order chicks and as well as to the costs analysis while selling and marketing.
The farmers which attended the training were from Mafeteng,Maseru and all other districts of Lesotho. One of the challenges which they addressed was the poor chicks from the hatcheries and the bad management which they had experienced. We believe that poultry session we had will be beneficial to them from now and in the future.
The participants were awarded the certificates of attendance and a manual of Broiler and layer production.
